With autumn approaching, the passage and non-breeding bird survey seasons are getting underway, making now a good time to consider survey requirements for projects progressing through planning over the coming year.
At Avian Ecology, our team provides comprehensive ornithological survey and assessment services across the UK, supporting projects from early feasibility and site design through to EIA, planning and post-consent delivery.
Over the coming months, we will be undertaking:
- Autumn Passage Surveys
- Winter Walkover Surveys
- Vantage Point Surveys
- Nocturnal Surveys
- Raptor Surveys
Early planning is particularly important where projects may require a full non-breeding season of survey data, or where survey requirements need to be agreed as part of an EIA or Habitats Regulations Assessment.
If you have projects ongoing or coming forward that may require non-breeding bird surveys and would benefit from an initial review or pricing, we’d be happy to help.
With a specialist ornithology team and extensive experience across solar, onshore wind and other major infrastructure projects, we can support both individual sites and larger multi-project programmes across the UK. We are happy to have an informal chat and advise on appropriate survey scopes, programmed and potential ornithological constraints at an early stage.
